Everything worth knowing before your first visit.
Will it hurt?
We work in the therapeutic zone of pressure, around 5 to 7 out of 10. It is never about pushing through pain. If it feels overwhelming, raise your hand and we adjust the pressure immediately.
How long is each session and what is the time commitment?
Each session lasts about 90 minutes to 2 hours, which gives us the time to work deeply without rushing. The Three Session Series is typically spaced about a week apart. The Ten Session Series is spaced 1 to 2 weeks apart and usually completes over a few months.
Which series is right for me?
The First Session is where we start. It is a full assessment plus your first treatment, and it tells us what is actually going on. If you have one specific area that keeps flaring up, the Three Session Series targets it directly. If you are dealing with pain in multiple places, or you want the full structural reset, the Ten Session Series works through your entire system region by region. We give you our honest read after your first session.
How is this different from massage or physical therapy?
Massage often treats symptoms in isolation for temporary relief. Physical therapy addresses rehab for a specific injury. Structural Integration looks at your whole fascial web in gravity. We restore global balance, alignment and resilience rather than chasing localized problems.
Where are you located?
We are a private studio serving Austin and the surrounding area, including South Austin, Rollingwood and Sunset Valley. The exact address, parking and entry details are sent to you when you book.
What should I wear?
Comfortable two piece athletic wear is ideal, for example gym shorts with a sports bra or tank top. We need to be able to observe your postural alignment and tissue while keeping you comfortable.
What if emotions come up during a session?
Fascia stores physical, emotional and energetic tension. Release can happen on many levels and is completely natural. You do not need to explain it, only allow it. We hold a safe, judgment free space for whatever unfolds.
What do I do after a session?
Think of each session as a full nervous system reset. Hydrate thoroughly, follow with gentle movement like walking or light stretching, and create space to rest. Pay attention to the subtle shifts in sensation as your system rebalances.
